Blind Assessment
(As brewed in a Nespresso VirtuoLine single-serve brewing device using a VirtuoLine capsule containing 12 grams of coffee to produce a manually set 6-ounce serving). Pungent, roundly tart. Stone fruit, caramel, fir, a hint of flowers in aroma and cup. Tart but juicy acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The tart tendencies dominate in a fruit-toned finish.
Notes
This coffee was produced in Switzerland for the VirtuoLine Nespresso capsule system. The VirtuoLine offers six different non-flavored coffee blend capsules intended to produce American-sized eight-ounce single servings, of which this, the Elevasio, is one. The system also offers one flavored coffee in the eight-ounce serving size and four espresso blends in smaller capsules. All of the VirtuoLine capsules are coded by color and presented in boxes arrayed like precious bonbons, glowing in their contrasting matte-aluminum finishes. Nespresso is a brand and separate business unit of the Swiss-based Nestlé Corporation. Visit www.nespresso.com or call 800-562-1465 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
Those who enjoy the strongly stated cup brewed by the Nespresso VirtuoLine system, in this case a cup that forcefully foregrounds a pungently tart character complicated by fruit-toned nuance.
