Blind Assessment
Crisp, sweetly pungent, juicy. Roasted cacao nib, honeysuckle-like flowers, amaretto, cactus fruit, black cherry in aroma and cup. Lively, almost effervescent acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The cacao nib in particular carries into a sweet-toned, flavor-saturated finish.
Notes
A “natural” or dry-processed coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit, encouraging a flavor profile that is lower-toned and more richly pungent than the more familiar wet-processed floral- and citrus-toned southern Ethiopia profile. Organically grown and meticulously prepared by Asnakech Thomas, Ethiopia’s only female miller/exporter. Flight Coffee Co. (formerly CQ Coffee Roasters) is a coffee-loving, quality-focused roasting company based in Bedford, New Hampshire.Visit www.flightcoffeeco.com or call 603-836-6228 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
Cacao-nib crisp but amaretto-like sweet, resonantly complex, a superb version of the dried-in-the-fruit southern Ethiopia type.
