Blind Assessment
Intense, original, complex. Fresh-cut cedar, grape, blueberry, brandy, roasted cocoa nib in the exhilarating aroma and flavor. Dry, berry-toned acidity; silky mouthfeel. Flavor resolves toward a fruit-toned chocolate in a long finish.
Notes
Grown in the Guji Zone of Sidama Province, this Ethiopian coffee is a dry- or "natural-" processed coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit was removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. This coffee won first place at the Ethiopia Taste of Harvest Competition in 2010. Coffea Roasterie is a South Dakota-based wholesale and retail roaster, offering a small but refined selection of mostly single-origin coffees. Visit
