Blind Assessment
Sweetly smoky, citrusy. Gently scorched Meyer lemon zest, mesquite, dark chocolate, lily, hazelnut in aroma and cup. Low-toned, jagged acidity; tannic, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Smoky-citrusy wood-framed finish.
Notes
An Ethiopia from undisclosed regions of Ethiopia, processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Peet’s Coffee, founded by Alfred Peet in 1966, is now owned by JAB Holding Company. Visit www.peets.com for more information.
Bottom Line
Rich aromatic wood notes are juxtaposed with citrus zest and florals in this dark-roasted Ethiopia, held together by a dark chocolate throughline — if you like smoky-sweet coffees, this profile is for you.
