Blind Assessment
Crisply chocolaty, berry-toned. Dried strawberry, baking chocolate, daisy, cedar, orange zest in aroma and cup. Crisply sweet acidity; crisp, lightly satiny mouthfeel. Chocolaty finish with undertones of orange zest and cedar.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of local landrace varieties of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). Dou Zhai Coffee & Roastery is a Taiwan-based specialty coffee roaster and cafe. Visit www.douzhaicafe.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A solid natural-processed Ethiopia with leading notes of chocolate and berries, complicated by spice-toned florals and citrus.
