Blind Assessment
High-toned, delicate, richly sweet. Apricot, cocoa nib, plum blossom, cedar, honey in aroma and cup. Sweet-toned structure with bright, juicy acidity; full, syrupy-smooth mouthfeel. Cocoa-toned apricot and plum blossom lead the resonant, lingering finish.
Notes
Southern Ethiopia coffees like this one are largely produced from distinctive indigenous Ethiopia landrace varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. Processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before the beans are dried). Coffee Please is an artisanal roastery and cafe in Taipei’s Beitou District, famous for the nearby Yangming Mountain hot springs. Visit www.facebook.com/CoffeepleaseTW for more information.
Bottom Line
A lovely washed-process Ethiopia cup with notes of both stone fruit (apricot) and stone fruit flowers (plum blossom) with a bright, juicy structure.
