Blind Assessment
Light, intricate, zesty. Black currant, lemon, lilac, sandalwood, baker’s chocolate in aroma and cup. Brisk, juicy acidity; silky smooth mouthfeel. Flowers and berry carry into a gently drying short finish, sweetening in the long.
Notes
Oromia is a coffee region in southern Ethiopia that produces distinctive coffees from traditional varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. This lot was processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Ethiopia coffees processed with this method typically express great aromatic complexity and intensity, with a particular emphasis on floral notes. Established in 2010, Red Rooster is an organic-certified micro-roaster focusing on socially conscious coffee and high-quality coffee. Who Should Drink It
Those who value a clean, zesty, intricately engaging rendition of the southern Ethiopia cup, dry-boned but juicy sweet.
