Blind Assessment
Lyric, delicately rich, levitating. Juicy, floral-toned acidity; smooth, supple mouthfeel. Crisp cacao and nut, musky lily, cleanly lush fruit (strawberry guava, tangerine) in aroma and cup. Surprisingly deep, resonantly flavor-saturated finish. Who should drink it: Those who value a coffee both delicate and lush, pure yet musky and deep.
Notes
Southern Ethiopia coffees like this one are produced from traditional Ethiopian varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. When processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying) they typically express great aromatic complexity and intensity with a particular emphasis on floral notes. Crimson Cup is a micro-roaster based in Columbus dedicated to offering high quality coffee and to helping independent cafes brew and serve it better.
