Blind Assessment
Crisp, richly sweet. Cocoa nib, dried nectarine, narcissus, hazelnut, brown sugar in aroma and cup. Brightly sweet structure with juicy acidity; crisp, satiny mouthfeel. The finish centers around notes of cocoa-toned nectarine.
Notes
Produced by the Hassen family at their estate farm in the Guji Zone of southern Ethiopia from distinctive landrace selections of Arabica long grown in the region. This is a dry-processed or “natural” version, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or “washed” coffees. Jebena Coffees is a Dubai-based custom-built roasting facility with a temperature- and humidity-controlled storage area and a professional cupping lab. Jebena offers coffees for both retail and wholesale purchase, as well as coffee training at every level. Visit www.jebenacoffees.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A juicy-sweet, balanced Ethiopia natural characterized by bright stone fruit and cocoa nib throughout the profile.
