Blind Assessment
Berry-toned, chocolaty. Chocolate fudge, dried raspberry, gardenia, hazelnut, hint of wine barrel in aroma and cup. Sweet in structure with gentle, rounded acidity; velvety-smooth mouthfeel. The finish centers around notes of chocolate and hazelnuts.
Notes
Limu (also spelled Limmu) is a growing region in southern Ethiopia that produces distinctive coffees from traditional, largely indigenous varieties of Arabica long grown in the area. This is a dry-processed or “natural” version, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or “washed” coffees. Jebena Coffees is a Dubai-based custom-built roasting facility with a temperature- and humidity-controlled storage area and a professional cupping lab. Jebena offers coffees for both retail and wholesale purchase, as well as coffee training at every level. Visit www.jebenacoffees.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A chocolate- and fruit-toned natural-processed Ethiopia coffee with a hint of appealing sweet ferment throughout.
