Blind Assessment
Crisply sweet, exhilaratingly complex. Peach, mint, lily, roasted cacao nib, a hint of rye whisky in aroma and cup. The acidity is breathtakingly sweet and buoyantly light-footed; the mouthfeel full but lively. Flavor consolidates but rings on in a long, gentle finish.
Notes
This exceptional coffee was selected as the #18 coffee on Coffee Review’s ranking of the Top 30 Coffees of 2014. This Yirgacheffe is an extraordinarily refined version of a dry-processed or "natural" coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. Ninety Plus is a very distinguished boutique producer and importer of innovative small-lot coffees from Ethiopia and Panama. Namusairo is a small-batch specialty roaster based in Seoul, South Korea, specializing in very high-end micro-lots with an emphasis on sustainable practices and unique flavors. Who Should Drink It
Striking coffee, both in the balance, sweetness and completeness of its structure as well as in its exhilarating range of sensory suggestion.
