Blind Assessment
Richly fruit-forward, juicy-bright. Dried mango, honey, wisteria, tangerine, macadamia nut in aroma and cup. Sweet-tart structure with vibrant, sparkling acidity; very full, syrupy-smooth mouthfeel. Dried mango and macadamia notes are supported by wisteria and tangerine in the confident finish.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, entirely of local landrace varieties of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). 1980 Cafe is a Tainan City, Taiwan-based specialty coffee roaster. Visit www.1980cafetw.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A multi-layered, natural-processed Ethiopia centered around notes of dried tropical fruit and richly sweet florals — the bright, juicy acidity provides nice ballast for all the lush sweetness.
