Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Richly fruit-centered, deeply aromatic. Raspberry, dark chocolate, sandalwood, narcissus, lemon verbena in aroma and small cup. Plush, viscous mouthfeel; fruit- and floral-toned finish. In three parts milk, spice-toned sweet florals preside, with support from rich chocolate notes.
Notes
Produced by Tesfaye Bekele of Suke Quto Farm from trees of the distinctive, local landrace Kurume and Welicho (also Wolisho) varieties of Arabica and processed by the natural method (beans are dried in the whole fruit). Temple Coffee is a quality-focused retail and wholesale specialty roaster active in Sacramento, California since 2005. Bottom Line
An impressive, affordably priced single-origin espresso: a natural-processed Ethiopia driven by cleanly expressed fruit with ballast from sweet dark chocolate and sandalwood.
