Blind Assessment
Floral notes dominate in the aroma, nut in the cup, with orange and dark chocolate complications in both. Balanced, rich acidity, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Long, sweet-toned finish with considerable flavor persistence.
Notes
Certified organically grown by the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union. Southern Ethiopia produces often distinctively floral- and fruit-toned coffees from traditional varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. When processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp is removed before drying) these coffee typically express great aromatic complexity and intensity with a particular emphasis on citrus and floral notes. As its name indicates, Matt's Wood-Roasted Organic Coffee focuses on sourcing fine organic coffees and roasting in small batches on a vintage Italian wood-fired roaster. Visit
Who Should Drink It
A slow roast stretches and complicates the aromatic range of this classic wet-processed Ethiopia.
