Blind Assessment
Deep, sweet, complex. Crisp dark chocolate, brandy, lily-like flowers, apricot in aroma and cup. Round, fruit-toned acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Rich, resonant short finish, chocolaty and drying in the long.
Notes
Certified organically grown. Worka is one of twenty-two primary cooperatives located in the Gedeo Zone of Southern Ethiopia that are organized as the Yirgacheffe Farmers Union. This is a dry-processed or "natural" coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. Flamenco Organic Coffee, founded in 2005 in Minneapolis, offers one of the country’s largest arrays of Fair-Trade and organic-certified coffees. Visit
Who Should Drink It
Complex, pleasing variation on the chocolate-and-brandy dried-in-the-fruit Yirgacheffe profile and an excellent value.
