Blind Assessment
Delicate, fruit-toned. Raspberry, dark chocolate, fresh-cut fir, magnolia, hazelnut in aroma and cup. Sweet-toned in structure with round, gentle acidity; satiny mouthfeel. The wood-framed finish consolidates around notes of fresh raspberry, hazelnut and fir.
Notes
Southern Ethiopia coffees like this one are largely produced from traditional Ethiopian varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. Processed by “natural” or dry method, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or “washed” coffees. Like most southern Ethiopia coffees, this coffee is produced by villagers on small, garden plots interplanted with food and other subsistence crops. Noelia Coffee is a quality-focused artisan roaster based in South Korea. It operates two coffee shops, including one that has sold specialty coffee and traditional Korean tea for two generations. Bottom Line
A friendly, fruit-forward natural-process Ethiopia coffee with berry and floral notes alongside rich aromatic wood.
