Blind Assessment
Deep, complex, big-bodied. Night-blooming flowers, hazelnut, dark chocolate, fresh-cut oak in aroma and cup. Round though rather heavy acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. Chocolate emerges clearly in a deeply sweet, nuanced finish.
Notes
Ganesha Espresso is Tony’s flagship espresso blend. In 2013 it was named “America’s Best Espresso” at a Seattle competition. It is reviewed here for non-espresso brewing; for a review of the same blend prepared as an espresso see our November 2013 review. Tony’s Coffee has been roasting in Bellingham, Washington since 1971. Visit www.tonyscoffee.com or call 800-448-8804 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
Those who prefer depth and complex chocolaty sweetness to the brighter, brisker, cleaner pleasures of many third-wave drip coffees.
