Blind Assessment
Gently sweet-tart, floral-toned. Pomegranate, lilac, hazelnut, pink grapefruit zest, fresh-cut oak in aroma and cup. Crisply sweet-tart structure with delicately bright acidity; satiny-smooth mouthfeel. Tart finish leads with notes of pomegranate and pink grapefruit zest, with undertones of oak and hazelnut.
Notes
The celebrated Geisha (also spelled Gesha) variety of Arabica first came to the coffee world’s attention growing in Panama. This particular version, however, is the outcome of successful efforts to commercialize Geisha in the region from which it originally came, western Ethiopia, from seed selected from wild trees of the Geisha variety in the nearby Gori Gesha forest. Processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). VERYTIME is a specialty nano-roaster based in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Visit www.verytime.com.tw/ for more information.
Bottom Line
A juicy, bright natural-processed Ethiopia cup — invigoratingly tart, balanced by rich floral and aromatic wood notes.
