Blind Assessment
Lightly rich and zesty. Orange zest, almond butter, sweet, honeysuckle-like flowers, a hint of rosemary in aroma and cup. Delicately brisk acidity; light, satiny mouthfeel. Orange and almond carry into a sweet, savory-edged finish.
Notes
Maracaturra is a relatively recently developed cross between the huge-beaned Maragogipe and the compact-growing Caturra varieties of Arabica. Based in the San Diego area, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters is a retailer and wholesaler focused on organic and socially responsible coffees; it was awarded the “2012 Micro Roaster of the Year” title from Roast Magazine. Who Should Drink It
