Blind Assessment
Sweetly tart, richly brisk. Cedar, plum, black currant, a hint of lemon in aroma and cup, where a slight herby suggestion contributes savory depth. Rich, lively acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates in a crisp finish.
Notes
Finca La Soledad has been a Pérez family coffee farm since 1895. It is named in honor of a Perez grandmother, Soledad. The farm is Rainforest Alliance certified, meaning it follows sustainable ecological and socio-economic criteria developed by the Sustainable Agricultural Network, a coalition of independent, environment-focused non-governmental organizations. Acatenango is the name of a coffee-growing municipality as well as a famous volcano overlooking the Antigua Valley of Guatemala.
