Blind Assessment
Sweet, gentle, original. Fresh-cut oak, honey, dark chocolate, peach, lily-like flowers in aroma and cup. Softly tart acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Chocolate in particular saturates a deep, rich short finish with some fading in the long.
Notes
From the Valdes family farm in the moist, diverse Coban region. Water Avenue Coffee is a tiny roastery nestled next to the railway in the old Industrial Southeast quarter in Portland, Oregon. Visit www.wateravenuecoffee.com or call 503-808-7083 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
Fresh, sweet, gently spicy wood notes complicated by lily and peach should please those who prefer to be coddled rather than jolted awake by their morning cup.
