Blind Assessment
Balanced, deeply chocolaty. Dark chocolate, orange zest, plum, almond, marjoram in aroma and cup. Sweet structure with brisk acidity; full, satiny mouthfeel. Chocolaty, nut-toned finish with undertones of marjoram.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, entirely of the Bourbon variety of Arabica, and processed by the traditional washed method (fruit skin and flesh are removed from the beans before they are dried). Hunapu is Luis Pedro Zelaya’s project to create high-quality microlot coffees from smallholder producers within the Antigua region of Guatemala. Bottom Line
A crisply chocolaty, gently herbaceous, sweetly citrusy washed Guatemala cup.
