Blind Assessment
Solid, comfortable cup. Black-currant crispness and gently pungent cedar rounded by honey and a hint of chocolate in aroma and flavor. Brisk, floral-toned acidity; silky mouthfeel. Straightforward, quietly rich finish.
Notes
This Holiday blend is fifty percent Kenya Rumikia AB, and fifty percent Java Sunda Hejo Lara. Located in Everett, Washington, north of Seattle, Velton's Coffee is a quality-focused small-batch wholesale roaster. Visit www.veltonscoffee.com or call 206-250-6130 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
Classically please-em-all holiday blend, though aficionados might find this updated version of the ancient Mocha-Java blend interesting for its blend composition. The Java, as it does in the original blend archetype, contributes a rounding base; in this case supporting a gently bright, crisply berry-toned Kenya.
