Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Crisply chocolaty, deep-toned. Baking chocolate, caramel, lemon balm, dried plum, fresh-cut fir in aroma and small cup. Crisp, lightly satiny mouthfeel; gently drying, wood-framed finish. In cappuccino format, chocolate and dried plum notes shine.
Notes
Produced by Oscar Omar Alonso of Finca Cual Bicicleta, from trees of the Bourbon, Catuai and Caturra varieties of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit) at the COMSA Cooperative. Kafe Coffee Roastery is a specialty roaster based in Zhubei, Taiwan. Visit shopee.tw/zengkaochen for more information.
Bottom Line
Especially inviting as a single-origin espresso; deeply chocolatey, richly sweet-tart, sweetly herbaceous with aromatic wood undertones.
