Blind Assessment
Sweet-toned, crisply caramelly. Brown sugar, rhododendron, date, honey, fir in aroma and cup. Brisk, sweet acidity; quite full, creamy mouthfeel. Brown sugar and fir notes carry the resonant finish.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of the Red Catuai and Yellow Catuai varieties of Arabica, and processed by the honey method and decaffeinated at the Descamex plant in Mexico by a water-only process that does not involve the use of solvents. Bear Lake Coffee Co., a B Corp-certified coffeehouse and roastery located in Barronett, Wisconsin, is committed to sustainability through its Coffee with a Purpose™ initiative, which ensures that farmers receive compensation well above the Fairtrade Premium for their exceptional small-batch coffee. Bottom Line
A very respectable water-processed decaf grown in Honduras, caramelly and crisply floral.
