Blind Assessment
Deep, savory-sweet, balanced. Sweet pipe tobacco, nut melange, oak, hints of lily and tamarind in aroma and cup. Brisk and tart-savory in structure, with a cushion of sweetness. Light but silky in mouthfeel. The finish consolidates around hints of tobacco and tamarind.
Notes
Processed by the traditional Indonesian wet-hulled method. Small Eyes Cafe is a small, family-owned coffee shop in Yilan, Taiwan, specializing in artisanally roasted specialty coffee and homemade desserts. Visit www.facebook.com/Smalleyescafe for more information.
Bottom Line
Fans of deep, earthy wet-hulled Sumatras may enjoy this subtle variation on the style: nutty and oaky with fragrant hints of moist tobacco and sweet lily.
