Blind Assessment
Low-toned, richly tangy and chocolaty. Dark chocolate, goji berry, cedar, lemon yogurt, cilantro in aroma and cup. Sweet-savory structure; lean, smooth mouthfeel. Quite rich, resonant and layered in the short finish, concluding with cedar notes in the long.
Notes
Produced by Ivan Solis and processed by the anaerobic natural method (fermented and dried in the whole fruit) with the addition of coffee must to the fermentation. B&W Coffee Roasters is a North Carolina-based roastery and cafe specializing in small-lot direct-trade coffees. For more information, visit www.blackwhiteroasters.com.
Bottom Line
A confidently anaerobic Costa Rica cup that leads with notes of dark chocolate, dried berries, tangy citrus and sweet herbs.
