Blind Assessment
Sweetly tart and exhilaratingly complex. Richly tart fruit – guava, passion fruit – dominate, rounded by a cocoaish chocolate and lush night blooming flowers. Crisp, juicy acidity; light but very silky, lively mouthfeel. Resonantly flavor-saturated, slightly drying finish.
Notes
Produced mainly from trees of the admired, Bourbon-derived SL28 and SL34 varieties of Arabica. Grown by farmers of the Gitwe cooperative, which operates two wet mills, Karatu and Kariuga, and is composed of 1,868 farmer members.
