Blind Assessment
Gentle, juicy, richly balanced. Orange, plum, narcissus-like flowers, roasted cacao nib, a hint of sweet basil in aroma and cup. Quietly vibrant acidity; silky mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates around chocolate and flowers in a delicately rich finish.
Notes
Produced entirely from trees of the admired, Bourbon-derived SL28 variety of Arabica. AA is the highest grade of Kenya coffee based on bean size and freedom from physical imperfections. Kirimahiga is a roughly eight-hundred-member cooperative located in Murang’a County. Despite grower discontent and urban encroachment on prime coffee lands, Kenya continues to produce some of the world’s most elegant and distinctive coffees. Papa Lin’s Coffee Roasting is a “nano” roaster located in Yorktown Heights, New York, that focuses on carefully sourced, extremely high-quality specialty coffees that are custom-roasted to the preference of every customer. Who Should Drink It
A quiet but vibrant rendition of the great Kenya SL 28 profile: juicy, gently pungent, with a shimmer of backgrounded flowers.
