Blind Assessment
Sweetly tart, pungently dry berry dominates, softened by a backgrounded dark chocolate and perhaps a hint of savory clove. Rich acidity; very smooth, silky mouthfeel. The dry-sweet berry notes carry into a balanced finish.
Notes
Produced exclusively from trees of Kenya’s premier varieties of Arabica, the great, Bourbon-related SL28 and SL34. Despite grower discontent and urban encroachment on prime coffee lands, Kenya continues to produce some of the world's most elegant and distinctive coffees. A member of the Clabber Girl family of businesses, Rex Roasting is “an exhibition style, small-batch artisan roaster” focused on roasting high-quality specialty coffee. Visit
Who Should Drink It
Complexly structured Kenya, sweet yet dry with savory hints. Should please those who enjoy drier, lighter bodied red table wines that keep the fruit in balance.
