Blind Assessment
Berry-driven, sweetly herb-toned. Black currant, cocoa nib, thyme, lavender, oak in aroma and cup. Sweet-toned structure with bright acidity; satiny, buoyant mouthfeel. Rich, long-lasting, berry-toned finish.
Notes
This coffee tied for the highest rating in a cupping of coffees from Kenya for Coffee Review’s October 2020 report. Produced from trees of the admired SL-28 and SL-34 varieties of Arabica. Coffee Please is an artisanal roastery and cafe in Taipei’s Beitou District, famous for the nearby Yangming Mountain hot springs. Visit www.facebook.com/CoffeepleaseTW for more information.
Bottom Line
Classic Kenya cup profile with concentrated notes of black currant and cocoa throughout, complicated by sweet-toned herb and floral notes.
