Blind Assessment
Sweet, pungent, with a deep, shifting complexity. Agave syrup, roasted cacao nib, lavender-like flowers, lemon drop and more in aroma and very sweet-toned cup. Richly tart, floral-toned acidity; light but buoyantly lively mouthfeel. Long, deep, flavor-saturated finish.
Notes
This exceptional coffee was selected as the #17 coffee on Coffee Review’s ranking of the Top 30 Coffees of 2014. From trees of the much-admired SL28 and SL34 varieties of Arabica as well as the hybrid Ruiru 11. Despite grower discontent, inconsistent government coffee policy and urban encroachment on prime coffee lands, the famed Kenya coffee auction system and its participating cooperatives continue to produce some of the world's most elegant and distinctive coffees. Flight Coffee Co.
