Blind Assessment
Pungently sweet, juicy. Lavender-like flowers, black currant, guava, dark chocolate in aroma and cup. Sweetly tart, floral-toned acidity; lightly syrupy, lively mouthfeel. Flowers, fruit and chocolate all carry into a rich, crisp finish.
Notes
This lot was produced exclusively from trees of Kenya’s two premier varieties of Arabica, the great, Bourbon-related SL28 and SL34. Despite grower discontent and urban encroachment on prime coffee lands, Kenya continues to produce some of the world’s most elegant and distinctive coffees. Wild Goose is an artisan roaster in the southern California town of Redlands striving for “World class coffee with a worldwide conscience.” Wild Goose emphasizes its relationship-driven green coffee sourcing, and for every pound of coffee sold it purchases ten pounds of food for a local food bank, with over four-hundred thousand pounds donated to date. Who Should Drink It
A classic Kenya, elegantly dry yet sweetly juicy and chocolate-toned.
