Blind Assessment
Sweetly tart, subtly deep. Dark chocolate, vanilla, rose-like flowers, passion fruit, a hint of sweet, dry herb in aroma and cup. Round, richly balanced acidity; light but plush, satiny mouthfeel. Richly resonant finish, drying in the short, sweet in the long.
Notes
Produced from trees of the admired heirloom SL28 and SL34 varieties of Arabica. Despite challenges ranging from unclear government coffee policy and urban encroachment on prime coffee lands to chronically unstable weather, the famed Kenya coffee auction system and its participating cooperatives continue to produce some of the world’s most elegant and distinctive coffees. Propeller is a Toronto-based micro-roaster with a dedication to careful selection and exceptional craft roasting of high-end coffees, the outgrowth of five years of successful business as the three-location Crema Coffee café chain. Who Should Drink It
Those who value classic acidity and balance with a characteristic Kenya complement of chocolate, tart fruit, flowers and herb.
