Blind Assessment
Sweetly whiskey-toned. Bourbon barrel, milk chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut, orange zest in aroma and cup. Sweetly brisk acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. Crisply sweet finish with notes of bourbon barrel and milk chocolate.
Notes
Produced at Mukarimu Estate, from trees of the SL28, SL34, Batian and Ruiru11 varieties of Arabica, and processed by the traditional washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). The green coffee was then rested in bourbon barrels. Regent strives to deliver coffee with care and purpose. Visit regentcoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
If you like barrel-aged coffees, this bourbon-tinted Kenya is a subtle version, with sweet vanilla and crisp chocolate undertones.
