Blind Assessment
Very sweet, gently tart. Complex blackberry and black currant notes with a hint of lemony citrus. Delicate, sweet-toned acidity; very silky, buoyant mouthfeel. Simplifies in the finish, though retains balance and sweetness.
Notes
Like all Caribou coffees, this one is Rainforest Alliance certified, meaning it was produced following sustainable ecological and socio-economic criteria developed by the Sustainable Agricultural Network, a coalition of independent, environment-focused non-governmental organizations. It is one of Caribou’s Roastmaster Reserve coffees, special seasonal offerings. Caribou Coffee is a retail roasting chain based in the upper Middle West whose rather irreverent motto "Life is short. Stay awake for it" belies a serious approach to coffee. Visit
Who Should Drink It
An easy-going Kenya, with the sweetly tart berry character of fine Kenyas but without their often challengingly bright acidity.
