Blind Assessment
Deep, resonant, opulent. Blackberry, kumquat, chocolate fudge, the lush scent of plumeria in aroma and cup. Big, juicy acidity; syrupy though buoyant mouthfeel. The blackberry and chocolate notes in particular lead into a very sweet, flavor-saturated finish.

Produced from trees of the admired heirloom SL28 and SL34 varieties of Arabica. Established in 2002 the Thiriku Farmers Cooperative (previously a part of the Tetu coop) is composed of roughly 2,300 members. Despite grower discontent and sporadic social disorder, Kenya continues to produce some of the world’s most elegant and distinctive coffees.
