Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Brisk, bright, citrusy. Tangerine and grapefruit citrus, rounded and sweetened by a background chocolate and a hint of flowers in aroma and small cup. Lightly syrupy, lively mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates in a richly tart though smooth finish. Continued bright and citrusy in three parts milk: a vivacious lemony chocolate, slightly drying.
Notes
Produced by the Rung’eto Farmers Cooperative Society, mainly from trees of the admired, Bourbon-derived SL 28 and SL 34 varieties. JBC Coffee Roasters’ vision is simple: “let the coffee lead the way” through sourcing and roasting the best and most unique coffees available and rewarding the farmers who grow those coffees with substantial premiums. Who Should Drink It
Those who enjoy espresso in the newer style: sweet but tartly bright, smooth in mouthfeel yet complex and brisk in flavor.
