Blind Assessment
Richly aromatic, deeply and complexly sweet. Passionfruit, cocoa nib, pomelo, wild honey, hazelnut butter in aroma and cup. Gently tart with sparkling acidity; lush, silky mouthfeel. Long, resonant, harmonious finish.
Notes
Produced at Noelani Farm, entirely of the Geisha variety of Arabica and processed in the whole fruit with the addition of a fermentation step applying wine yeast strains. Paradise prides itself on quality and freshness, craft-roasting coffees in small batches only after orders are placed. Visit www.paradiseroasters.com or call 808-498-4048 for more information.
Bottom Line
Paradoxically heady and grounded, this tropical-themed Kona Geisha — processed by Miguel Meza’s proprietary “champagne” process — leads with fruit and floral notes and gets ballast from a cocoa nib throughline.
