Blind Assessment
Sweetly citrusy, spice-toned. Pomelo, vanilla orchid, red plum, pink peppercorn, agave syrup in aroma and cup. Balanced, citrusy acidity; very silky, viscous mouthfeel. Vanilla-like florals and pink peppercorn are supported by pomelo and red plum in the resonant finish.
Notes
Produced at Noelani Farm, entirely of the S12 Kaffa variety of Arabica, and processed by the traditional washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Paradise prides itself on quality and freshness, craft-roasting coffees in small batches only after orders are placed. Visit www.paradiseroasters.com or call 808-498-4048 for more information.
Bottom Line
A fascinating coffee — a variety that originated in Ethiopia grown in Hawai’i from seed and cultivated over many years to produce just four pounds. Well worth the splurge for its citrusy, spice-toned, sweetly herbaceous cup.
