Blind Assessment
Big, sweetly bright, classic. Honey, tangerine, rose-like flowers, a hint of roasted cocoa nib in aroma and cup. Grand, lushly bright acidity; light, silky mouthfeel. Rich, resonant, floral-toned finish.
Notes
La Esperanza is a medium-sized, high-altitude farm in San Pedro Necta in the admired Huehuetenango growing region. Produced from trees of the heirloom Bourbon and sturdy Caturra varieties of Arabica. Terroir is a microroaster focusing on elite single-origin coffees. It was a pioneer in the revival of medium roast styles designed to foreground the character of the green coffee. Terroir is the creation of George Howell, one of the world's leading coffee visionaries. Visit www.terroircoffee.com or call 866-444-5282 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
Those who understand and appreciate a classically bright coffee. There is nothing sour, bitter or astringent here; instead a lushly sweet-toned, flavor-nuanced tart sensation vibrates at the heart of the profile.
