Blind Assessment
Rich-toned, sweetly fruity. Dark chocolate, blackberry, salted caramel, rhododendron, tangerine in aroma and cup. Balanced, mild acidity; plush, satiny mouthfeel. Exceptionally long, chocolaty and fruit-forward finish.
Notes
Produced by Alva Flores, entirely of the Marsellesa-Criollo variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Utopian Coffee is a specialty roaster based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Visit www.utopiancoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
This washed Mexico from Oaxaca is an exemplar of its type: deeply rich, vibrant, engaging and complex — very long, flavor-laden finish.
