Blind Assessment
Berry-toned, sweetly tart. Raspberry, grapefruit, cashew butter, cedar, freesia-like flowers in aroma and cup. Sweet-tart structure with juicy, bright acidity; satiny-smooth mouthfeel. Berry- and citrus-toned finish with hints of cedar and freesia.
Notes
This coffee tied for the second-highest rating in a cupping of washed-process coffees from Central America and Mexico for Coffee Review’s September 2020 report. Produced by Olvin Valle of Finca Cruz Grande entirely from trees of the Catuai variety of Arabica and processed by the washed method. Triple Coffee, headquartered in San Francisco's Marina District, is a high-end specialty coffee company that specializes in microlots from Honduras. Visit www.triplecoffee.co for more information.
Bottom Line
Brightly fruit-forward: distinct berry notes, rich-toned citrus zest and aromatic wood.
