Blind Assessment
Elegantly sweet-tart, richly floral, complex. Narcissus, tamarind, rice pudding, hazelnut, pink grapefruit in aroma and cup. Sparkling, vibrant acidity; plushly satiny mouthfeel. Floral-toned, multi-layered finish that carries over all the flavor notes from the cup.
Notes
This 100% Ka’u coffee was developed by Lorie Obra of Rusty’s, one of Ka‘ū’s best-known and most celebrated farms. Produced from trees of the Red and Yellow Bourbon varieties of Arabica and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). Visit www.rustyshawaiian.com or call 808-928-8916 for more information.
Bottom Line
A lyrically composed Bourbon (Red + Yellow = Orange) that’s driven by rich floral notes, tropical fruit and sweet nut and citrus — compellingly deep and complex.
