Blind Assessment
Sweet-toned, round, resonant. Peach, almond, fresh-cut cedar, rhododendron-like flowers in aroma and cup. Roundly brisk acidity; syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates but gently persists in a sweet-toned though drying finish.
Notes
El Roble (Oak Tree) Estate is owned and operated in exemplary fashion by Oswaldo Acevedo. Coffee is grown under full shade and processed by the traditional ferment-and-wash method. Certified organically grown. Weed control is manual and all agricultural inputs are generated on the farm or neighboring farms. Produced from a mix of traditional varieties of Arabica. Allegro Coffee, a subsidiary of Whole Foods Market, offers one of the country's largest selections of single-origin coffees. Visit www.allegrocoffee.com or call 800-227-1107 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
Those who prefer depth and resonance to brightness and drama in a balanced breakfast cup.
