Blind Assessment
Crisply bittersweet, floral-toned. Osmanthus, hop flowers, fir, orange zest, thyme in aroma and cup. Briskly bittersweet acidity; crisp, velvety mouthfeel. Gently drying finish with notes of osmanthus and fir.
Notes
A blend of two coffees: 75% Ethiopia Sidamo and 25% double-anaerobic Colombia co-fermented with osmanthus enzyme liquid and dried with ambient smoked osmanthus. Kafe Coffee Roastery is a specialty roaster based in Zhubei, Taiwan. Visit shopee.tw/zengkaochen for more information.
Bottom Line
A distinct osmanthus note is the throughline of this unusual blend of Ethiopia and co-fermented anaerobic Colombia coffees — the aromas and flavors of the co-fermented coffee are more prominent than the Ethiopia.
