Blind Assessment
Elegant, complex, deeply sweet-savory. Bergamot, hop flowers, coriander, agave syrup, cocoa nib in aroma and cup. High-toned, bittersweet acidity; lush, silky mouthfeel. Finish leads with notes of bergamot and cocoa nib.
Notes
Produced at Hacienda La Esmeralda from plantings of wild and semi-wild varieties of Ethiopia Arabica in Costa Rica’s International Coffee Collection. These coffees were then blended and processed by the traditional washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Paradise prides itself on quality and freshness, craft-roasting coffees in small batches only after orders are placed. Visit paradiseroasters.com or call (808) 498-4048 for more information.
Bottom Line
An exciting and unusual cup profile: spice-toned citrus and umami florals center this Panama-grown version of Ethiopian Arabica varieties.
