Blind Assessment
Pungently sweet, balanced, elegant. Black currant, dark chocolate, molasses, rose-like flowers in aroma and cup. Tartly sweet, lively acidity; plush, silky mouthfeel. Crisp though sweet, molasses-inflected finish.
Notes
This coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified, meaning it was produced following sustainable ecological and socio-economic criteria developed by the Sustainable Agricultural Network, a coalition of independent, environment-focused non-governmental organizations. Sihereni Estate was acquired by farmer David Oromari in 2002, and has consistently made strides in quality since then with the support of Monpi Coffee Exports. Who Should Drink It
Almost Kenya-like in its sweet, exhilarating acidity and pungent berry suggestions, though approached in any context a fine coffee.
