Blind Assessment
Balanced, lyric coffee. Gently pungent fir rounded by fruit notes (blackberry, plum) in aroma and cup. Soft acidity; lively, lightly syrupy mouthfeel; sweet-toned, cocoaish finish. A very slight grassy or hay-like note emerges as the cup cools.
Notes
This coffee is certified organically grown and Fair Trade, meaning it was purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. La Prosperidad combines two different lots of coffee produced by Bartolome Ramirez and Froilan Cruz respectively and blended at origin. Both farmers are members of the “Prosperity” cooperative. This unique offering constitutes Origin #3 in Green Mountain’s 2011 series of Special Reserve coffees. Keurig/Green Mountain, formerly Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, pioneered single-serve capsule brewing in the United States with its Keurig brewing system, and remains one of the country’s leading large specialty roasters, offering a particularly wide-ranging variety of origins and roast styles. Who Should Drink It
Enjoy this quiet, melodious coffee as you contemplate the complex and inspiring relationship it represents between you, the green buyers and roasters who live in the mountains of Vermont, and the farmer producers who live far in the remote mountains of northern Peru.
