Blind Assessment
A pure, ready-to-drink bottled coffee tested over ice. Bright, sweet, refreshing. The acidity is crisply sweet and fruit-toned; the mouthfeel smooth, satiny. Caramel, roasted cacao nib, layered fruit – lemon, grape, peach – and a hint of flowers in the flavor, with the lemon note in particular carrying into a clean, sweet, slightly drying finish. Adding whole milk pleasantly develops the chocolate and rounds the fruit.
Notes
Prepared by the cold-brew method, which involves prolonged steeping of ground coffee in cold or room-temperature water and subsequent filtering. Bottled and sold without additives or any ingredient other than coffee and water. The green coffee used to produce this beverage is certified organically grown and processed at the famous Idido Cooperative in the celebrated Yirgacheffe growing region of Ethiopia. Yirgacheffe coffees like this one processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp is removed before drying) typically express great aromatic complexity and intensity with a particular emphasis on citrus and floral notes. This coffee was sourced and roasted by Counter Culture Coffee, and brewed and bottled by Slingshot, a company dedicated to quality that sells only cold coffees. Who Should Drink It
Very refreshing, lively cold-brewed coffee: lilting, lyrical, and organic to boot.
